Orange & Seaberry Crème
Ingredients
Cashew nuts
200 gr
Weight before soaking
Seaberry
130–150 gr
Also called sea buckthorn, sandthorn, or Hippophae
Fresh or frozen (make sure to defrost)
Fresh orange juice
100–120 gr
fresh Lemon juice
20 gr
Fresh ginger
7–10 gr
coconut oil
120 gr
Preferably cold-pressed
Sunroot syrup
100–120 gr
Also called Jerusalem artichoke, earth apple, or topinambur
May be substituted with other sugar-free natural syrups
Orange essential oil
4–7 drops
Poppy seeds
10 gr
Pink himalayan salt
2 pinches
Step-by-step Instructions

Soak cashew nuts in water for 4–5 hours or overnight

Wash thoroughly after soaking

Combine soaked cashews, orange and lemon juices, seaberries, syrup, ginger, orange essential oil, and salt

Blend in a food processor until you have a smooth paste

If you want to get rid of seaberry seeds, you can sieve the crème after blending. But I just leave them there

Add coconut oil and blend again

Carefully mix in poppy seeds
